Editorial Reviews

Review
This is one of the most comprehensive textbooks I have ever come across. It truly leaves no stones unturned and each area is covered in impressive scope and depth. It is an indispensable source of reference for cardiologists and non-cardiologists alike.
The online version is very user-friendly and follows the same format as the textbook. One added bonus is the update feature where all the most recent advances are updated regularly and inserted into the relevant chapters. The CDROM contains a generous number of very well chosen, good quality slides which can be imported for use in presentations.
I would strongly recommend this textbook as a worthy addition to the medical library of any primary or secondary care physician and the online version makes it a very practical reference tool for everyday use.

"The editors have accomplished an impressive feat: improving on an already classic text...A worthy addition to the medical library of any practicing cardiologist, cardiology fellow, or health care practitioner with a special interest in heart disease." - JAMA

Useful as always5
You can't say that there is a spectacular change from the previous edition. The better a product gets, the harder it is to improve it. But the format is frendlier, the guidelines and recommandations have been updated (which was a weak spot of the previous edition), and there are some new interesting chapters (like the management of stroke). In conclusion, still very useful as a reference.

I'm a Belgian customer (Europe).

I'm really enchanted of amazon's service. Though the shipping costs were not very clear, I ordered this textbook at the begin of december and I was surprised to get it on 28th december as it was announced between 29th decembre and 1st february.

Braunwald's heart disease is really the best textbook of cardiology and this brand new edition is better again. Very clear and well illustrated, it can be used by cardiologist as well as by internist or student in medicine.
